The financial capital of Italy and the fashion capital of the world! Its fashion industry, cutting hedge design, good food, Milan has to offer much more than people think!

Home of two of the most famous football (soccer) teams in the world (Internazionale FC and AC Milan), Milan has a buzzing nightlife, hosts the world renown Opera house La Scala, not to forget its architectural treasures (Renaissance churches of Sant’Ambrogio and Santa Maria delle Grazie are part of every Art Book!), not to forget the Leonardo’s Last Supper !

Going Out

The revolution Milan has brought to going out is the culture of the Aperitivo. Most bars and many restaurants are now offering very convenient Happy Hours, usually between 6pm and 9pm. You can get any drink for 5 Euro, and what is amazing is that you get free all sort of food that goes with it ! From great pasta dishes to salami, from Spanish Tapas to Parma Ham, each bar has its specialties.

If you are after some action, mingle with people and discover the place where it’s all happening, you should take a walk around Via De Amicis / Colonne di San Lorenzo, just follow the crowd and you won’t get disappointed.

Our favorite for any season is the Trattoria Toscana, with a great garden ideal for hot summer days, but lots of space and very cosy in winter too. Better call in advance if you want to have a sitting dinner.

Every September, 15 km from Milan centre, in the middle of a huge park, the Formula 1 Circus comes to north of Italy for one of the oldest Grand Prix, usually a decisive one for the World Championship
